Corticon Names Bob Schoettle as Chief Marketing Officer

February 8, 2011 - Redwood City, CA

Corticon today announced the appointment of Bob Schoettle as chief marketing officer. Schoettle will focus on accelerating company growth with aggressive marketing programs that target key vertical market segments including insurance, financial services, and government.

"Bob Schoettle is an expert in marketing enterprise software products and solutions, and he will be tremendously valuable as we enter a major growth phase for the company," said Dr. Mark Allen, president and CEO of Corticon. "Bob has a proven record of successfully developing and implementing high-impact marketing and sales initiatives to attract new customers, forge strategic alliances, and add distribution partners."

Schoettle brings more than 25 years of high-technology marketing leadership experience to Corticon. He has a strong history of successfully bringing new products and applications to market, as well as rapidly driving revenue growth in emerging companies. Recently, he spent six years as interim chief marketing officer and vice president of marketing for a series of venture-funded private companies including Panasas, SenSage, Innopath, Qumu and Kelkea (acquired by Trend Micro), securing venture capital investments and driving successful exits. Previously, he served as vice president of marketing for iPass and Intraspect and also held key marketing management positions with IBM/ROLM.

"Simplicity, flexibility and clear business value are the attributes customers look for when evaluating enterprise software," said Schoettle. "This is especially true when considering solutions that need to work with existing and new IT infrastructure elements. Corticon is uniquely qualified to provide simple solutions to complex problems."
