Chioke Dmachi Releases Boyz Don't Cry on iTunes

June 8, 2011 - LOS ANGELES, CA

A native of Southern California, Chioke Dmachi is gearing up for the release of his first debut music project with a message of cause and movement in an effort to awaken minds and encourage hearts through inspiration.

As a model and actor, Dmachi has appeared in televised or print ads for Pepsi, Target, Hyundi, Unionbay and Wrigley's to name a few. He has a persistently positive approach to life that is far reaching.

As an artist, Chioke is extremely versatile. He lists his musical influences and loves as Prince, Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars and Adam Lambert.

With the release of his much anticipated debut album "F.L.I." (FunLove&Inspiration) His lead single, "Boyz Don't Cry," was inspired by the tragic increase of teenage suicides recently spotlighted in the media and the worldwide "It Gets Better" viral campaign. The song is a mantra all youth, particularly young men, have been forced to condition themselves with. The lyrics are socially relevant and emotionally explosive. A portion of the proceeds from "Boyz Don't Cry" will go to benefit organizations such as the Trevor Project.

"Boyz Don't Cry" is a Pop/Rock/R&B hit reminiscent of the King of Pop's, "Dirty Diana." Chioke hopes the song will inspire, uplift and encourage others who may be feeling they are unheard or misunderstood. The single is currently available on iTunes.

"BOYS DON'T CRY! As a little boy growing up, this is what I was told, not by just other kids, but adults too... be a man, grow a pair, only the strong survive. The song is about letting people, men and women, know it's ok to feel how you feel, and express that. We all have feelings, it's ok to let them out." - Chioke Dmachi
