Adnetik Continues to Lead in Privacy Self-Regulation by Becoming the First Multinational Technology Provider to Implement the Evidon InForm Platform in the EU

June 8, 2011 - London

Adnetik today announced that it has chosen Evidon as the exclusive provider of compliance services for management of the Pan-European Self-Regulatory Framework for Online Behavioural Advertising in the European Union, the corollary self-regulatory effort to the DAA-managed self-regulatory initiative in the US. The agreement extends Adnetik access to Evidon's Assurance Platform, Evidon InForm, beyond the US. By using Evidon as the technology platform to deliver in-ad notification across multiple countries beyond the United States, Adnetik is positioning themselves as the segment leader in online compliance and self-regulation.

Through the partnership, Adnetik will use Evidon InForm, which enables simple and scalable implementation of the Advertising Option Icon into display ads and websites, and gives consumers access to and control over how their information is collected and used, with the option of opting out altogether.

Timothy Anderson Flink, VP of Global Data Operations, commented, "Adnetik continues to push the envelope when it comes to consumer privacy self regulation: giving consumers choice and control over their data preferences. With Adnetik extending the Evidon Inform platform implementation to the EU, it can only help foster adoption and standardization of OBA compliance industry wide."

Although the first to do so in Europe, Adnetik had already joined the growing list of companies using Evidon to power their compliance efforts in order to inform consumers about how the industry collects and uses interest-based data.

Evidon was the first company designated by the Digital Advertising Alliance as an Approved Provider of compliance services for the Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioural Advertising (Principles). This includes the ability to deliver the Advertising Option (or Forward I) icon on behalf of companies who are participating in the self-regulatory program. The company's Assurance Platform is operating at scale, delivering the Advertising Option Icon and corresponding notice in more than 10 billion monthly advertising impressions across the Internet for leading brands.

"Adnetik's joining our dossier of clients represents a number of different firsts for the industry self-regulatory program," said Scott Meyer, founder and CEO of Evidon. "As a major, multinational trading desk, they are a very strategic partner. And we're thrilled to be working with their team."

Adnetik recognizes Evidon as the leading technology company that enables online advertising transparency through its leadership role in the Open Data Partnership (ODP) alliance. The ODP of online behavioral advertising companies gives consumers access and control over the information companies have collected about their interests, directly from an ad impression or publisher site, which uses Evidon's platform.
