Neomobile expands Indian mobile entertainment industry

Neomobile launches D2C-services in the Indian market and plans to further invest in the local Mobile Marketing Business

Mumbai, November 20th, 2009 - Neomobile Group, the Italian global mobile entertainment company, announced its plans to launch D2C-services in India.

Since 2004, Neomobile has been focusing on Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) mobile content, becoming in a few years the n°1 player in Italy and among the Top 5 players in Spain, Turkey and Brazil. The Company designs, develops, markets and distributes digital content and interactive services for mobile users in partnership with over 120 Mobile Network Operators and with over 30 Media Companies all over the world.

Neomobile will introduce in the Indian D2C-market its successful formula of mobile entertainment 'bundles', packages that combine different services based on the specific interests, lifestyle and needs of India's Mobile Users, in order to offer a complete and rich experience. Month after month, services will be released presenting a wide range of content, spanning from news (e.g. Bollywood stars, movies, gossip etc.) to music, ringtones and games.

Different elements make India very attractive for the mobile industry, especially the stable growth of mobile entertainment demand, with Mobile Users that increasingly like and want these services. Then considering the population of 1.1 billion people and the increasing penetration of mobile lines, India is to be valued as a huge potential mobile entertainment market.

As part of its marketing strategy in India, Neomobile plans to make high cross media communication investments (especially on WAP channel), as this has proven to be a key element of success of its D2C-brands in Italy, Spain, Turkey and Brazil. Between these four markets, the marketing and advertising investments have been several millions of Euros in 2009: the Company is already one of the top advertisers on Google, on several MNO's decks and on TV.

Commenting on this operation, Gianluca D'Agostino, Neomobile CEO, said: "We believe India has a great Mobile Entertainment future, it is the right time to move into action and introduce our successful D2C- formula. Using our media know-how and experience in technology, and leveraging the already existing collaboration with India's Mobile Network Operators, we aim to become among the top 3 D2C-players within 2 years from launch."

Neomobile will also increase its investments in its Indian Mobile Marketing Solutions business, which has to date developed and managed mobile advertising and promotion campaigns for top advertising agencies and brands, including: Nokia Interactive, Diageo, Group M and Perfetti.
