Bangalore, October 13, : Cranes Software International Limited, a provider of enterprise statistical analytics and engineering simulation software products and solutions today announced the launch of NISA /CIVIL Version 16 - the latest version of its industry leading FEA package 'NISA /CIVIL'.
NISA/CIVIL addresses a range of issues of vital significance to architects and civil engineers working with RCC and Steel structures.
NISA/CIVIL Version 16 comes with a more than 40 new features and marks a significant improvement over the previous version. Some of these are:
-- Concrete Design as per Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB), India - AERB/SS/CSE-1 and Steel Design conforming to AERB/SS/CSE-2 and American institute of steel construction (AISC) AISC-2005
-- Design of Flat slabs (equivalent frame method), Rafts (Rigid Beam Theory - IS) and Shear Walls
-- Automatic Wind Load generation as per ASCE 7-05 and Seismic Loads generation conforming to ASCE 7-05 and BS EN 1998:1-2004
-- Automatic selection of design size for beams, columns and isolated footings - with user defined footing size options. Additional features such as support height specification, overburden pressure and eccentricity of column for isolated footings
-- Design and drawing generation of Concrete staircases, rebar rationalization for beams and columns
-- Exporting FE input details and analysis results to Microsoft(r) ExcelT
Commenting on this occasion Pradeep Kumar - Sr. Vice President, CAE R andD Services, Cranes Software International Limited said, "In addition to providing some crucial design enhancements like Shear wall design., the new version is developed with a strong emphasis on ease of use. This includes easy navigation and enhanced automation of core functionalities like load generation, beam selection. "
