YESSS to provide a business platform for the Young Entrepreneurs, Researchers and Industry community of Information & Communications Technology
Bangalore, 13th October 2008: Organizers of Bangalore IT.biz today announced the launch of YESSS [Young Entrepreneurs' Start ups in Soaring Spirits], an initiative for the young entrepreneurs, researchers, investors and industry community concerned with Information & Communications' Technology to conduct business meetings. YESSS would offer a platform for the Young Entrepreneurs of emerging companies seeking investment and partnering opportunities to present their research and technologies to industry and investors, venture capitalists, angel investors and conduct business meetings. YESSS will be held on the sidelines of Bangalore IT.biz on November 7.
This will be the eleventh edition of India's flagship ICT event and will be held at the Palace Grounds on 6th, 7th & 8th November, 2008. The theme for Bangalore IT.biz is to "Express, Exchange and Empower'
The YESSS programme would consist of lectures by-
- 1) Successful entrepreneur on 'Becoming successful-Dos and Don'ts'
- 2) A leading person from VC sector on ' What catches the eye of a VC' and
- 3) 10 start-ups making 15 minute podium presentations about their ventures, business plans and business propositions in the pre-lunch session.
The post lunch would witness 1 to 1 interactions between the Venture Capitalists, Financial Institutions and the budding entrepreneurs to take the business forward.
A few high profile, successful entrepreneurs such as Amar Lakhtakia,President & Cofounder of Sherpaz, (previously known as Info Knox), among others would be giving helpful tips and pointers to the young entrepreneurs as well.
Shri Ashok Kumar C. Manoli, Principal Secretary to Govt., Department of IT, BT and S&T, Govt. of Karnataka, said, "If innovations are not backed by capital investments, they will not translate into technology, products and wealth creation for the country. YESSS will bring investors and inventors together. It is a huge platform for the Young Entrepreneurs to showcase their technology to the investor community. This will negate the inventor - investor asymmetry.
