The Lord Mayor of Melbourne, John So, will be visiting India for two days next week (June 2 and 3) to formalize Melbournes strategic alliance agreement with the National Capital Territory (NCR) of Delhi.

New Delhi, May 30 : The Lord Mayor of Melbourne, John So, will be visiting India for two days next week (June 2 and 3) to formalize Melbourne's strategic alliance agreement with the National Capital Territory (NCR) of Delhi.

During his visit, Mr. So will address a session on strengthening Indo-Australian business ties.

Mr. So will seek to promote Melbourne as the "Gateway to Australia" for Indian companies and organisations planning to enter or expand their business interest in Australia.

He will speak about Melbourne's business environment and how the city can facilitate the entry of Indian companies.

Melbourne's key industry sectors include information technology, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, biotechnology, higher education, financial services, infrastructure, tourism, art and culture.

The event will be held at the Hotel Taj Mahal, Aftab-Mehtab Hall on Monday evening.
