7Seas Technologies ropes in Neetu Chandra for 3D mobile action game

7Seas Technologies Limited, an independent games development company based out of Hyderabad, has signed an agreement with Bollywood actress Neetu Chandra to develop a first-of-its-kind 3D mobile game.

Hyderabad, Mar 20, : 7Seas Technologies Limited, an independent games development company based out of Hyderabad, has signed an agreement with Bollywood actress Neetu Chandra to develop a first-of-its-kind 3D mobile game.

"Under the agreement, 7Seas Technologies will develop a 3D mobile game with Neetu Chandra playing the lead character. The game titled on her name Neetu (The Alien Killer), is based on a unique game story and revolves around the lead character killing different aliens," Maruti Sanker .L, Managing Director of 7Seas Technologies, said.

"3D mobile game development is the most toughest challenge for the game developers as they have to offer same quality as PC or console but with a much reduced file size," Sankar added.

7Seas would be launching this game along with other genres of games like puzzle, racing, adventure and action during the next quarter through mobile aggregators and operators worldwide.

"Apart from this game, we will also make available the game wallpapers, screensavers and ringtones of the game for Neetu's fans," Sanker said.

Neetu, a trained marshal arts expert and a Kathak dancer, acted in Hindi blockbusters like Garam Masala and Traffic Signal. She also signed contracts with the Anil-Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG), UTV and Sahara for multiple Bollywood and Tamil movies. Her latest film titled 123 is set to hit the silver screen some time next week. Neetu holds a Black Belt in Taek-Won-Do, a Korean martial art form. She represented India in two competitions - one in Taek-Won-Do and the other in korfball championship - which is very rare feat.

"Neetu already became a popular actress in Bollywood and we expect her to replicate the same in other south Indian languages. Her charisma definitely adds flavour to our 3D mobile game. 7Seas Technologies targets to develop the finest quality 3D mobiles, which would entertain the mobile game lovers across the country," Sanker added.

Neetu - The Alien Killer Game Story: 3000 AD when over half of the world was destroyed due to greenhouse effect. Atlanto City was captured by the Aliens, who came from the inner solar systems of the Andromeda galaxy. Thousands of Atlanto citizens were killed brutally. The Atlanto Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence (ASETI) sends "Neetu", a valiant and intelligent female and the only hope of the Atlantians, to redeem the Earth from the alien regime.

"I am very excited to be a part of this game, as I love sports and playing games," Neetu said.

Sanker said: "Next generation games would be only 3D Mobile Games, and the usage of the games would increase with the sales of new high-end mobiles. 3D mobile games would definitely be the best entertainment tools for everyone. We have started developing 3D mobile games only for Nokia, Sony Ericson, Motorola and other high-end handsets. The development time is over 2D Games, but the game with good quality will really make mobile gamers play the game for longer time."

India is fast emerging as a key one-stop destination for game development with research firm AC Nielsen estimating the Indian gaming market to hit 424 million dollars in 2010. Game development today is a 10 billion dollars industry in US. India has more than a finger in this lucrative pie. It has emerged as a key one-stop destination for game development.
