GE Money has appointed Vincenzo Picone as senior vice president, Global Marketing.

Stamford, Jan 9 : GE Money has appointed Vincenzo Picone as senior vice president, Global Marketing.

Picone will report directly to David R. Nissen, President and CEO of GE Money.

"Vincenzo Picone's deep experience in global consumer product marketing, and his unique ability to drive organic growth have made him a key contributor to the ongoing transformation of GE Money into a superior customer-focused organization," said Nissen.

Picone assumes his new role after having served as Senior Vice President for Strategy for GE Money since 2005.

In that role, he has been responsible for strategic planning and global growth initiatives, and led the Company's efforts to transform its marketing capabilities. Picone will retain the Strategy responsibilities.

Previous to joining GE Money, Picone served as CEO of Palmera Group SpA, a leading Italian consumer goods company.

He had previously held senior marketing, branding and strategic consulting roles with Procter and Gamble, PepsiCo and McKinsey and Co.

Picone earned his undergraduate degree in Marketing from the European Business School in Paris, and his MS in Management from the Sloan School at Stanford.

He replaces Thomas Gentile in the marketing role. Gentile recently accepted a promotion to become Vice President and General Manager, Services for GE Aviation.
