Mumbai: Wanbury Ltd, the world's largest producer of Metformin, a diabetes management product has seen an increase in Profit After Tax for the nine months ended 31st December 2007 of 96.2% to Rs. 18.67 crore and the Income from Operations has jumped 69% to Rs. 165.72 crore.
The Income from Operations for the quarter has increased 59 % to Rs. 56.79 crore as against Rs. 35.75 crore for the same period last year.
The Profit After Tax for the quarter has increased to 129.42 % to Rs. 7.21 crore as compared to Rs. 3.14 crore for the corresponding period last year.
With an enhanced focus on reducing costs this year the company has witnessed an improved profit margin of 4 %.
The EPS of the company is Rs. 13.07 fot the period ended December 2007.
