16,000 visitors at DIEMOULD INDIA 2008 and Tooltech 2008

Exhibition generated a huge interest among technical students

Bangalore, 18th February, '08: "DIEMOULD INDIA 2008" and "Tooltech 2008", the prestigious exhibitions organised by Tool and Gauge Manufacturers Association (TAGMA) and Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association (IMTMA) respectively witnessed never seen before activity with 16,000 visitors. Majority of the visitors were representatives of business organisations followed by technical students from across Karnataka and all over India. The four day exhibition, held at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bangalore concluded today.

Mr. S. C. Kalyanpur, President of TAGMA said, "TAGMA is delighted to see many engineering and diploma students at the exhibition. This shows, against the popular belief, that manufacturing industry can also attract cthe best talent in India. DIEMOULD INDIA 2008 exhibition has ascertained the growth of the industry with the level of interest shown particularly by the auto & auto ancillary market. As India is becoming a global manufacturing hub for automotives, Indian manufacturers are confident of making most out of it."

Mr. N. K. Dhand President of IMTMA said, "India made a strong statement as a market as well as a production destination with Tooltech 2008. Business orders worth Rs. 85 million were generated and enquiries worth Rs.280 million were made. The industry is highly optimistic with the global interest in India being shown during these 4 days."

The 6th edition of DIEMOULD INDIA 2008 is the largest international exhibition in India covering the tool room Industry. 273 exhibitors from 17 countries will occupy a display area of 1,54,500 square feet. Some of the countries participating in the exhibition are Australia, Canada, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, United States, etc. There will also be international pavilions from China, Germany and Singapore.

The 10th edition of Tooltech 2008, a unique international exhibition in South & South East Asia, is a 'B2B' event featuring newest trends in cutting tools, tooling technologies, production aids, machine tool accessories, metrology, and CAD-CAM equipment & software. 106 exhibitors from 13 countries including a country-group participation from Germany, will exhibit products valued over Rs. 4 crore over an exhibition area of 23,000 square feet. The exhibition will enable manufacturing industry to witness newest global trends and to gauge future technologies that are likely to shape up in this segment.
