Kingfisher Airlines Expands Route Network with the Introduction of Services on 6 New Routes

Kingfisher Airlines, countrys first and only 5-Star airline, today announced that it will be launching services on six new sectors and that it will add Chandigarh to the network of cities served by it.

Mumbai, Apr 9 : Kingfisher Airlines, country's first and only 5-Star airline, today announced that it will be launching services on six new sectors and that it will add Chandigarh to the network of cities served by it.

Effective from April 14, Kingfisher Airlines will offer daily direct flights from Mumbai to Chandigarh. The launch of services to Chandigarh marks the launch of operations for Kingfisher Airlines in Chandigarh. Kingfisher Airlines will also launch a daily direct flight between Mumbai and Ahmedabad.

The flights on this new route will be operated using brand new Airbus A320 family aircraft featuring personalized in-flight entertainment on every seat, gourmet cuisine and world class service.

Besides this, Kingfisher Airlines will also introduce services on 5 other routes. For the first time, it will offer a daily same day return flight between New Delhi and Chandigarh and a daily direct flight between Delhi and Goa. It will also add one more daily direct flight between New Delhi and Hyderabad taking the total number of daily flights on that route to three flights a day.

With the launch of these new services, Kingfisher Airlines will now have 250 departures a day and will serve 39 destinations with a fleet of 42 brand new aircraft.

"The new daily direct flight from Mumbai to Chandigarh will cater to discerning corporate flyers between the country's commercial capital and Chandigarh. Besides corporate flyers, we expect our services to Chandigarh to cater to tourists alike, especially since Chandigarh is the gateway to Himachal Pradesh, an acknowledged tourist haven," said Siva Ramachandran, Vice President Sales, Kingfisher Airlines limited.

"The new flights between Mumbai and Ahmedabad will cater to the rapidly growing segment of small and medium enterprise owner-promoters and corporate travelers who can now travel with their favourite airline," he added.

Ever since its launch in May 2005, Kingfisher Airlines has blazed a trail of innovations and introduced a range of market-firsts that have completely redefined the whole experience of flying. By elevating its customers to a level of being 'guests' and not just passengers, Kingfisher Airlines has endeared itself to consumers.
