India Investors Summit 2008 to be held in London

Organised by Financial News Events, in conjunction with Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal Europe, India Investors Summit will bring together business leaders, investors, politicians and opinion formers to debate the business and investment climate of India and the long-term impact of sustained development.

London, Apr 23 : Organised by Financial News Events, in conjunction with Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal Europe, India Investors' Summit will bring together business leaders, investors, politicians and opinion formers to debate the business and investment climate of India and the long-term impact of sustained development.

The inaugural India Investors' Summit will be held in London on May 19-20 at the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel.

With the Indian economy forecast to rank number two or three in the world by 2050, the country has attracted massive inward investment from the international community, as well as becoming an influential global investor in its own right.

The Summit programme will cover topics including regulatory concerns and issues such as finance, private equity's impact on industrial corporations, M&A trends and deals and risk management, as well as the challenges and opportunities offered by sectors such as healthcare, energy, real estate and telecommunications.

Keynote speakers include: Bill Gammell, Chief Executive, Cairn Energy; Naveen Jindal, Vice-Chairman, Jindal Steel; Aashish Kalra, Co-Founder and Managing Director, Trikona Capital; Crispin Tickell, Director Policy Foresight Programme, James Martin Institute for Science and Civilization, University of Oxford; Martin Sorrell, Chief Executive, WPP Group plc and Akil Hirani, Managing Partner, Majmudar & Co., International Lawyers, India.
