Saudi Aramco reports oil output decline of 1.7 percent in 2006
Saudi Aramco in its Annual Review 2006 said that last year the companys crude oil production declined by 1.7 percent, while exports declined by 3.1 percent, compared with the previous year. ANI

China edges India out of Myanmar natural gas prospects
China has edged out India in importing natural gas from Myanmar offshore fields, where Indian state-run firms have a 30 per cent stake.The Myanmar Government has already decided to sell gas to China. They (Mayanmar Government) have given China a commitment to sell this gas, said A K Hazarika, Director (Onshore) Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). ANI
