Turkish and Iranian Energy Ministers sign MOU for three power plants
Turkish Energy Minister Hilmi Gurler has signed in the course of his recent visit to Tehran with his Iranian counterpart Parviz Fattah a memorandum of understanding for the joint construction of three power plants. The three plants will be gas-fired and have a capacity to generate 2gw of electricity.The two ministers also reached agreement to carry out studies of hydroelectric power projects having a total capacity of 10gw. Furthermore, Gurler and Fattah signed a cooperation agreement for the supply of additional 3-6 billion kwh a year of Iranian power to Turkey. ANI
