New Delhi, June 19 : The first meeting of the National Board for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises will be held here tomorrow under the Chairmanship of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Mahabir Prasad.
The day-long deliberations of the Board is likely to address various concerns of MSMEs, like availability of timely and adequate credit; procurement policy; reservation of products for exclusive manufacture by MSMEs; simplification and harmonization of the applicability of the labour laws; delayed payments by buyers to MSMEs; skill training for weaker sections; skill development for SC/STs and their cluster development.
The Board has been constituted as per the provisions of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006.
It plays pro-active role in facilitating and coordinating inter institutional linkages among the organizations of Central and State Governments for the growth and development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).
